GLS Lamps production in NEEASAE has started in 1947 with a rate of 3 million lamps / year. Since that date the GLS factory has been greatly developed. New production lines have been added to cover the market needs and renew the art of production according to the most recent universal development either in equipment or manufacturing methods, keeping quality and reducing cost. In 1990, the last developed production line with speed up to 2500 lamps /hour was installed.

Softone Production Line

Nowadays, the GLS factory is considered the major lamps factory in the middle east and Africa,and one of the pioneers of the world , where as the production capacity with the normal operation, two shifts system, is up to 78 million lamps/year. This capacity raises to 117 million lamps / year with three shifts operation system.

At present , the production is carried out by twelve semi-automatic production lines, where the machines of every line are connected together by complicated electronical and mechanical means.

Inspection, detection and sorting out of main defects are carried out electronically.
